The style is exactly as pictured and is a loose knit. It's light (which is exactly what I wanted). Can be layered with tank or shirt underneath if desired. Washes well. I ordered the large; my usual size because I am 5' 8" tall and about 175# but I probably could have gone with the medium. This sweater is cozy and makes me feel pretty.
